What's the real reason why Georgia fans haven't seen QB J.T. Daniels?

Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback and ESPN college football analyst D.J. Shockley joined the Midday Show to preview the Georgia/Florida game on Saturday, and the Dawgs quarterback situation.

Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart said he is sticking with quarterback Stetson Bennett despite lackluster performances against Kentucky this past weekend and Alabama prior to the bye-week.

Georgia has other options at quarterback, but one guy we have yet to see us USC transfer J.T. Daniels. He's been medically cleared for weeks but has yet to see game-time action. But why? The guys asked Shockley the same thing, and here's what he had to say.

"To play on Saturday, the team has to believe your ready for that stage--they have to make sure you're ready for when the lights come on--that you're ready to go," Shockley told Andy and Randy. "But for them to do that, they have to be really, really feeling good with how you practice Monday through Friday. And from the things I'm hearing, (Daniels) looks really good in 7-on-7's but once they get into team stuff, that's not where he looks his best. That's where he struggles."

"If a coach doesn't feel good about you Monday through Friday, there's no way he can put you out there when the lights are the brightest and the stage is the biggest."

"For me I believe, in practice, Stetson Bennett has just outperformed the other two guys, point blank period. He's looked the best when they needed him to so when you get to Saturday, they trust No. 13 more than they probably trust anybody else."

"People don't see Monday through Friday, and the coaches know exactly what's happening, but they just haven't expressed that to the public about this is why (Daniels) is not playing."
