On Tuesday Andy & Randy were joined by DawgNation Daily Host Brandon Adams and the three talked about the Georgia Bulldogs 42-41 win in the College Football Playoff Semifinal Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl game against the Ohio State Buckeyes. The conversation steered towards Stetson Bennett and his ability to get it done at the biggest moments in the biggest games, despite his struggles early in the game against Ohio State.
“Say somebody didn’t watch the game but they’re familiar with Stetson Bennett. How do you sum up what his performance was on Saturday night? Because it was a lot of different things and ultimately it was a win and it was great in the 4th quarter but how do explain what Stetson Bennett did at quarterback?” Andy asked Adams.
“Bennett is not only better in big games it would seem. It seems he also gets better as the big games go along.” Adams replied.
“These are the MVP games Bennett has: Peach Bowl, SEC Championship, Orange Bowl, National Championship. But it’s not that he is just better in these kinds of games than others. In the fourth quarter of the Alabama game last year in Indianapolis he was better at the end than he was to start. The same thing when it comes to this game against Ohio State, he was better late in this game than he was early.” Adams added.
The Georgia Bulldogs will be looking for back-to-back National Championships as they take on TCU who defeated Michigan in the Fiesta Bowl. Georgia vs. TCU will take place Monday January 9th at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
You can hear Andy & Randy Monday-Friday from 11a-2p on 92.9 The Game.
