The SEC Media Days wrapped up on Thursday afternoon and the results of the preseason media poll was released on Friday morning, and to nobody's surprise, the voting was all over the place.
Georgia is still a massive favorite, but despite everyone feeling differently, some SEC Media members voted for other members of the Eastern Division. While there is theoretically some arguments in favor of selecting Tennessee or South Carolina, having 8 people choosing Vanderbilt is a strong reminder that this is the media poll and pretty much anyone with a credential can vote.
The overall SEC Championship poll came out a little more predictable with Georgia on top and Alabama and LSU quite a bit back.
Georgia will enter the 2023 season as a clear favorite to win the division and get back into the College Football Playoffs.
