CBS Sorts SEC analyst Brian Jones joined Dukes & Bell to preview the Florida-Georgia game, does UGA have a QB problem, and what is Georgia facing in Gators quarterback Kyle Trask?
Jones talked about what Kyle Trask brings to the field as the Gators starting quarterback.
“I’ve always been a fan of Trask, in the big moments going back to last year when he’s struts into action on the road at Kentucky, the game against Auburn of course his first road game start at LSU.” Jones said “This guy’s the real deal, he possesses a ton of leadership and he gets everyone involved, he keeps all the pieces engaged and interested because he spreads the rock around.
Now you look at the stats, say well it’s mostly Kyle Pitts and Kadarius Toney well if those are your elite superstars well hell yea you wanna lean on them a lot more than others.”
“I think he’s a guy who surveys the field well, he takes care of the rock. Going back to last year in this ball game, two touchdowns and one interception, think he hit about 63 percent of his passes, didn’t have a gaudy number as far as yardage 250-257 but he took care of the rock and that’s first and foremost in this ball game.”
