As the defending National Champion Georgia Bulldogs get set to defend their title, the Dawgs have to replace a lot of key pieces on offense and defense. Georgia set a record in the 2022 NFL Draft by having fifteen players drafted, including five defensive players drafted in the first round, one being the number one overall pick Travon Walker.

It’s obvious Georgia is having to replace a lot of talent on the offensive and defensive end, but they are returning some key starters in Nolan Smith, Kelee Ringo, Kearis Jackson, and of course quarterback Stetson Bennett to name a few. Also, Georgia is staked with five star recruits on both ends of the ball that are ready to shine as well.

Georgia will definitely be in the mix for an SEC Championship, a spot in the College Football Playoff, and even another National Title again this season, but what will they have to overcome? What are Georgia’s weaknesses heading into the 2022 campaign? Friday night on The Jon Chuckey Show, Jon told you where the Dawgs could struggle this season.

Jon believes Georgia’s one weakness could be their cornerbacks this season saying “I think corners that play you know opposite of Kelee Ringo or nickel corners or things like that. I think that’s one of the things.” Jon isn’t worried about any other position group saying “I trust their front seven, I trust their linebackers, I trust that they’ll get to the quarterback, I trust their running game, I trust their wide receivers, I trust their quarterback, I trust their Head Coach as well.”

Jon admits that there isn’t much too much wrong with this Georgia team saying “it’s tough to find flaws with Georgia”, but of course with a team that will be a National Title contender there won’t be too many flaws, but when you start going up against the Alabama and Ohio State’s of of the world who Jon says have “high caliber personnel” one flaw could be the difference between an SEC Championship, a National Title, and a disappointing season.

For teams like Alabama, Ohio State, and Georgia the biggest hurdles will be health and luck, and out of these three teams whichever team has the most health and luck will most likely walk away from the 2022-23 season as National Champions.
