The next edition of the College Football Playoff Rankings will be announced tonight and after Kirby Smart slammed the committee following UGA's big win over Tennessee, there's still quite a bit of debate surrounding where Georgia should be ranked tonight.

Georgia certainly has one of the better cases to be ranked very highly in terms of quality wins, with wins over Texas, Tennessee, and Clemson, all teams ranked in the top 20, but they also do have two losses, albeit to highly-ranked teams (Alabama and Ole Miss).

When you look at last weeks College Football Playoff Rankings, there shouldn't be much change at the top as the top five teams all either won or didn't play. BYU will drop out after their loss to Kansas, and Tennessee will fall down as well, but how high could Georgia climb?

On the surface, it would seem like the highest UGA could be ranked, even after a dominant victory over previously #7 Tennessee would be at #8. If the top five remains unchanged, would the committee place Georgia over Alabama or Ole Miss despite the head-to-head losses?

Will the committee ignore those results and place Georgia higher? Did Kirby Smart's comments have any impact on the committee? All those questions and more will be answered tonight when the news rankings get announced.
