While there were a few games last Saturday for College Football's Week Zero, this week is the real start of the season, and among the games featured in primetime on national TV will be a meeting between Louisville and Georgia Tech on Friday night from Mercedes Benz Stadium.
Georgia Tech Head Coach Brent Key, who filled in as the interim head coach last year, had his interim tag removed and is beginning his first full season as head coach of the Yellow Jackets. Key joined Andy and Randy and discussed what he does and doesn't know about his team heading into the opener against the Cardinals.
"You know things versus each other, you don't know versus an opponent, so we'll see Friday night," says Georgia Tech Head Coach Brent Key. "The big thing is how they're going to execute versus an opponent, how to respond or rebound to some adversity when something goes bad, that's the excitement of College Football."
Georgia Tech went 4-4 with Brent Key as the interim head coach in 2022 including a pair of wins over ranked teams (#24 Pitt and #13 UNC) and he'll look to build off that momentum as he takes the reins full-time for the Georgia Tech program.
