SEC Spring meetings wrapped up on Thursday with many questions still unanswered about the future of college football.

SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey spent the week complaining about other conferences banding together with press releases, pondering whether the league should move to a 9-game conference schedule, and arguing in favor of a 16-team playoff that would include four automatic bids from the South Eastern Conference.

Drew Butler, co-host of The Steakhouse, believes the SEC Commissioner should do a better job of creating solutions, rather than complain about problems.

Sankey made his case for the CFP committee valuing ‘not losing’ over quality wins, but it ultimately is up to the Athletic Directors who will need a majority vote to make a decision on the 2026 schedule.
