7A – Only one major change to happen in the 7A classification as last week’s top four teams were all winners this past Friday and remain in their respective positions from last week with Collins Hill still on top at No. 1. Milton, who was in at No. 5 last week, was idle on Friday and remain at No. 5. Last week’s No. 6, West Forsyth, suffered their second loss of the season, falling to No. 2 Mill Creek 38-10, and are out of the top six, while North Cobb, who defeated Etowah 42-0, moves into to round out the top six at No. 6

6A – All of the top six were in action this past Friday with last week’s No. 1 Buford and No. 5 Rome were both losers. Unfortunately Rome, that was the second loss for the Wolves, thus dropping them from the top six. Meanwhile, for Buford, their loss came at the hands of a national opponent in Chaminade-Madonna, who is ranked No. 6 in Florida and 37th in the nation, and when you factor in their national win over Myers-Park and season opening win over North Cobb, Buford holds onto the No. 1 spot. No. 2 Lee County, No. 3 Carrollton, and No. 4 River Ridge were all winners as well as last week’s No. 6, Westlake, who moves up to No. 5 and newcomer Brunswick, who’s off to an 4-0 start rounds out the top six at No. 6.

5A – All six of last week’s top six teams in 5A were in action on Friday and all were victorious, so they all remain in their respective positions from last week, with Ware County still on top at No.
1. It is worth noting that this Friday, No. 2 Warner Robins will have their hands full when they face 6A’s No. 2 Lee County, While No. 1 Ware County will take on 4A’s No. 4, Benedictine.

4A – Four of last week’s top six were in action and all four were winners at as No. 1 Jefferson improved to 4-0, No.
3 Carver-Columbus improved to 4-1, No. 4 Benedictine improved to 2-2 and No. 6 Cedartown improved to 3-0. No. 2 Perry and No. 5 Marist were both idle so no changes occurred in 4A.

3A – No changes occurring in the 3A top six as five of the six teams were in action on Friday and all winners including No. 1 Oconee County, No. 2 Cedar Grove, No. 3 Appling County, No. 4 Sandy Creek and No. 6 Thomson. No. 5 Monroe Area was idle as their game against Clarkston was not played and the Hurricanes were awarded the win.

2A – It was a relatively quiet week for last week’s 2A top six as only two of the teams were in action. No. 2 Rabun County improved to 3-1 after a blowout 63-7 win over Saluda. No. 4 Thomasville suffered their first loss of the season falling 20-6 to 3A’s No. 1, Oconee County, dropping them to No. 5 and moving Bleckley County up a spot to No. 4.

1A Public – Last week’s No. 1 Macon County and No. 2 Metter, were both winners on Friday and maintain their respective positions from last week as well as No. 5 Montgomery County and No.
6 Washington-Wilkes. Last week’s No. 3 Irwin County was handed their second loss of the season, but it came at the hands of 7A Tift County and in a close contest as the final was 16-14. With that being said, the Indians maintain the No. 3 position and No. 4 Bowdon, who was idle on Friday, remains in that position.

1A Private – With four of the top six in 1A Private in action and three of them winners, the biggest change comes in the form of last week’s No. 5 the Wesleyan Wolves, falling out of the top six after picking up their second loss of the season when they fell 35-10 to last week’s No. 6, Prince Avenue who moves up to No. 5. Rounding out the top six at No. 6 is Athens Academy and the top four positions from last week remain the same with No. 1 Trinity Christian leading the way.
