Class 7A

It was almost a perfect week for the top six 7A “Pick 6” teams as five of the six were winners last week with Valdosta being the lone loser falling to Camden County 17-14. With the loss, Valdosta falls from No. 4 to No. 6, while Mill Creek, who defeated Collins Hill 54-0, moved a spot from No. 5 to No. 4 and Lambert, coming off a 39-31 win over Denmark moved up from No. 6 to No. 5.

Class 6A

As all six of the top six 6A “Pick 6” teams were in action last week, five of them walked away winners as Lee County picked up their second loss of the season, falling to Northside Warner Robins 23-20. With the loss, Lee County dropped from No. 2 to No. 9 and Roswell, Gainesville, Rome, and Woodward Academy all moved up one position from their respective positions from last week. Rounding out the top six at No. 6 is Thomas County Central, who improved to 8-0 after defeating Houston County 42-21.

Class 5A

The top six teams in the 5A “Pick 6” would go 5-1 as Loganville was handed their first loss of the season falling to an inspired Jefferson 42-6. With the loss, Loganville dropped from No. 5 to No. 7, while Cambridge, who defeated Northview 51-7, moved up a spot to No. 5 and Dutchtown moves back into the top six at No. 6 with their 54-12 win over Locust Grove.

Class 4A

For the second consecutive week, no changes occurred among the top six teams in the 4A “Pick 6” rankings as all four of the teams that were in action, Cedartown, North Oconee, Troup, and Benedictine were all winners, with Perry and Burke County both having the week off.

Class 3A

There was a change among the top six 3A “Pick 6” teams as Sandy Creek and Doughtery were the only two of the six to suffer defeats. Sandy Creek fell to No. 1 Cedar Grove, dropping from No. 3 to No. 5 and although Doughtery lost to Thomasville 35-20, they remain at No. 4 as it was their first loss of the season. However, Stephens County, who defeated Hart County 30-14, jumped from No. 5 to No. 3.

As all six of the top six 2A “Pick 6” teams were in action last week, however two suffered defeats as Putnam County fell to Thomas 27-3, dropping from No. 5 to No. 9 and Eagle’s Landing Christian lost to Callaway 49-20, dropping from No. 6 to No. 10. With those two losses, Thomson jumped from No. 8 to No. 5 and Callaway moved up from No. 10 to No. 6.

Just five of the top six 1A Division I “Pick 6” teams hit the field last week and of the six Brooks County would be the only one taken down, but it would be at the hands of another top six team in Irwin County. With the loss, Brooks County dropped from No. 4 to No. 6 and Irwin County moved up from No. 5 to 4. Darlington, who defeated Armuchee 45-7, moved up from No. 6 to No. 5.

With Early County losing to Eufaula 31-28, they drop from No. 4 to No. 9 while Schely County and Lincoln County moved up one position from their respective positions from last week. Rounding out the top six is Charlton County at No. 6.
