(SportsRadio 610) -- Rockets guard Russell Westbrook is expected to join his teammates in the NBA's Disney World campus on Monday, head coach Mike D'Antoni said.

"I think Russ is about ready to land here pretty soon," D'Antoni said before the Rockets practice on Monday.

Westbrook was not aboard the team's initial flight to Orlando on July 9 and announced last week that he tested positive for Covid-19. He will have to self-quarantine for 36 hours upon his arrival and once he registers two negative tests he'll be allowed to join the rest of the Rockets on the floor.

"I know he'll be ready," D'Antoni said.

Assuming everything goes to plan, Westbrook could practice on Wednesday, but D'Antoni doesn't know if he'll be able to take part in the Rockets scrimmage against the Toronto Raptors on Friday night.

"I do expect that he once he clears everything he'll be ready to go five-on-five. I would say Friday might be a little early. That'll be up the medical staff and Russell himself to see how he feels."

Luc Mbah a Moute is the only other Rocket currently not with the team in Orlando and D'Antoni couldn't offer an update on when he might arrive.
