The New York Jets are 3-2, and there’s some cautious optimism about where they can go this year.

Loaded with young players already making big impacts, the Jets have been playing an improved brand of football, and have won three of their last four games. For the first time in a while, there’s reason to be excited about the Jets.
That’s been an unfamiliar feeling, so with that comes trepidation about things eventually falling apart. Appearing on the “Rich Eisen Show”, rookie running back Breece Hall said he tries to tune that part out.
“You hear it, but you really can’t pay too much attention,” Hall said. “Our team prides ourselves on just always giving that extra 60 percent. Coach Saleh always says no matter how hard you’re going, you’ve still got 60 percent more to give. We come in every day with that expectation to hold each other accountable and get better.
“We don’t really listen to the outside noise, we only really care about what each other thinks and what we think about ourselves. Every day we’re chipping away at it, we’re trying to change this thing and I think we’re trending in that way and making the Jets a winning franchise.”
It’s only October, so there is plenty of time for things to change for better or for worse. But Hall looks like the real deal, as does Garrett Wilson. The defense has had its moments, and as a whole the Jets seem like a team that could at least be in contention for a wild card spot this postseason.
Hall wants fans to stick with them.
“Keep standing along with us, don’t give up on us,” Hall said. “There’s gonna be good, there’s gonna be bad, but as long as the fans stay loyal and stay true to who we are and keep believing in us, then everything is going to pay off for the best.”
