Two boys and a man were found dead inside a Canoga Park apartment in what police are calling a murder-suicide.
Officers responded to the complex on Owensmouth Ave. at 7:15 p.m. on Sunday after shots were heard throughout the complex, according to multiple reports.
An LAPD spokesperson told KTLA that detectives believe that during a family gathering, the man, believed to be the 10-year-old boys’ father, fatally shot both boys, and then turned the gun on himself.
Some witnesses told CBS L.A. that they heard some noises from inside the apartment before hearing shots ring out.
The shooting remains under investigation.
