"Officers concluded Tran had been operating a clandestine lab responsible for the manufacturing of illicit narcotics, that he was involved with the sales of these illicit narcotics, and that he possessed firearms while committing these crimes," according to a Fountain Valley Police Department news release.

Despite his arrest, additional complaints of narcotics sales were received, leading to surveillance of the Rosewood Street property.

"On November 14, 2025, the FVPD Special Investigative Unit ... saw Tran engaged in narcotics sales and detained the recipient of one of these transactions," police said.

Police seized katamine and then obtained a search warrant for Tran's residence and vehicle.

Then. on Nov. 22, "independent of the FVPD investigation," a neighboring law enforcement agency arrested Tran on suspicion of narcotics sales and he was booked into the Orange County Jail. He later bailed out.

Officers arrested Tran's alleged client on suspicion of drug possession and a weapons violation and served a warrant at Tran's residence, where "a significant amount of narcotics, packaging material, digital scales and prepackaged narcotics" were found.

The drugs worth an estimated street value of $44,000, included ketamine, cocaine, crack, MDMA, psilocybin mushrooms, counterfeit Xanax and suspected counterfeit Adderall and hydrocodone pills.

Also seized was $3,232 in cash.

Tran was arrested on suspicion of drug possession and sales and was booked into the Orange County Jail with bail set at $500,000.

He is currently jailed at the Theo Lacy Facility in Orange.
