A small plane crashed upside down in a parking lot near Whiteman Airport in Pacoima on Monday.
It was reported just after 11 a.m. at an O'Reilly's parking lot in the area of Van Nuys Blvd. and Sutter Ave.
L.A. City Fire's Jamie Stewart told KNX News’ Alex Silverman it was a single Cessna plane that crashed. He said one man was on board and rushed to the hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
One witness told KNX News' Emily Valdez that crash sounded like a boom.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
