Five Things for Monday:

1. Competitive eater Joey Chestnut set a new world record last Friday when he ate 304 mini donuts in eight minutes.

2.  An Iraqi Airlines flight was recently delayed after a bear escaped from the cargo hold. The bear busted out of its crate as the plane was about to depart from Dubai International Airport.

3.    NASA recently lost contact with Voyager 2 which was launched in the 70s to study the universe.  A wrong command was sent to the spacecraft which made it rotate 2 degrees away from earth causing it to loose signal.  Scientists in a scramble to fix things fired off as many signals as they could to get it back on course and after a few days of “yelling” at it, it corrected and is now back in contact.

4.   There are 90 days left until Daylight Saving Time ends so get ready for seasonal depression

5.  (Fun Fact): One of the main reasons Blu-ray beat HD-DVD is because Sony included a Blu-ray player in the PlayStation 3, to get it into a ton of houses. But because of the cost, they lost $200 on every PlayStation 3 they sold . . . about $3 billion total.
