Wake up -- it’s summer!!
No matter the talk of “unofficial first day” and the baseball season almost halfway through - summer is actually only two days old.
And just in time for the hottest days to come, Dunkin’, always in the habit of shaking up their menu, has just unveiled another round of summery confections to further enhance your fast food feasting this summer.
As their press release alliteratively puts it, “the brand today launched a sun-sational selection of summer sips, including Sunrise Batch Iced Coffee, Smoked Vanilla Cold Brew with Sweet Cold Foam, and Smoked Vanilla Iced Latte.”
The Summer Batch Coffee especially seems to be the deal, as medium-sized iced and hot versions will be a cool two bucks from today through July 20.
The most intriguing, though, might be the Sweet Vanilla Cold Brew, topped with Sweet Cold Foam and hot chocolate powder. How they make cold foam is a secret we want to learn, but involves marshmallow which reportedly gives it a s’mores hint -- another nod to summertime camping fun.
And for those whose tastes run a little less sucre-tastic, Dunkin’ is dipping into trendier waters with new Kombucha and ElectroBrew drinks, though only in certain areas.
Electrobrew -- which utilizes coconut water for a burst of electrolytes, with no added sugar -- will be available in Springfield, MA, Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and West Palm Beach, FL. While locations in Albany, NY and Charlotte, NC, will offer the Kombucha for a limited time.
We’ll see if the chain’s diehards will take to these more unique styles. In any event, if there’s a Dunkin’ near you, there’s no reason to be tired on the way to the beach this summer.
