Penn State received commitments Wednesday from a pair of class of 2021 blue-chip recruits, 4-star quarterback Christian Veilleux and the nation's highest-ranked kicker Sander Sahaydak.  Both players announced their commitments on social media.

Veilleux is an Ontario native who plays at Bullis School in Potomac, Md.

Pitt and West Virginia were among the more than two dozen schools that extended scholarship offers. Earlier this month, Veilleux narrowed his list to Penn State, Clemson, Tennessee and Duke.  The 6-foot-3, 195-pounder was the only offered 2021 quarterback to visit campus since the hiring of offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Kirk Ciarrocca. The visit was in early February.

Sahaydak, who kicks with his left foot, is rated as the No. 1 prospect in the nation by Kohl's Kicking, which specializes in kicking and punting recruits. The Bethlehem, Pa native was offered by Penn State in early April.
