PITTSBURGH ( 93.7 The Fan) - Does Odell Beckham want to join the Steelers?
The noise in Cleveland is gaining more steam.
Reports from the past few weeks have stated that Odell Beckham Jr. has yelled to other teams’ sidelines and to individual players saying to “come get me.”
Now there’s even more fuel to add to the fire.
If Beckham straight-up asks for a trade, the Cleveland Browns could very well oblige.
This methodology has proven fruitful for recent players that have found themselves in unsavory scenarios.
Jalen Ramsey requested a trade and was eventually dealt to the Rams.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have seen both ends of the spectrum.
But, they've also seen the underbelly of the process when Antonio Brown demanded an exit from the team earlier in 2019.
Beckham would likely draw an expensive price tag, and the Steelers are already without a 2020 first-round pick.
The Steelers also have comfort in the development of third-round rookie Diontae Johnson and second-year James Washington while JuJu Smith-Schuster has been healing from injuries.
Odell Beckham in black and gold is buzzworthy, but if the Steelers are interested in adding wide receivers, they might instead opt to rest on their laurels and add a receiver on Day 2 or 3 of the 2020 Draft considering their success in the mid and late rounds.
