Pittsburgh (93.7 The Fan) - A day after two freshmen left the Duquesne basketball team, guard Mike Bekelja out of Solon, Ohio accepted coach Keith Dambrot's scholarship offer.
Bekelja was a high school teammate of Dukes sophomore guard Sincere Carry, and they call themselves brothers. The two aren't related biologically, but Bekelja's parents are Carry's legal guardians.
Bekelja, a 6-foot-1 guard, originally committed to Division II Fairmont State, but a coaching change prompted him to reconsider and attend a prep school instead. In his one season at International Sports Academy, Bekelja averaged 25.0 points.
