PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) – Steelers linebacker Anthony Chickillo was put on the Reserve/Commissioner Exempt List Wednesday afternoon.
Chickillo was arrested and then released on $10,000 bond after an alleged physical altercation with his girlfriend at the Nemacolin resort over the weekend.
This means Chickillo can be at the Steelers facility but can’t participate in practice or attend games as the NFL Commissioner will monitor his progress and then allow him to be activated if and/or when goals are met.
The move freed up a roster spot which the Steelers filled with linebacker Jayrone Elliott. Elliott was released on October 11 and played three games for the Steelers this year and 42 over his four-year NFL career.
