It was reported that Munchak was one of two finalists for the vacant head coaching job in Denver before Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio was selected.

It was believed that meant Munchak would stay with the Steelers but last week a report came out that Denver was still interested in him.

Denver parted ways with their offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak leading many to believe Munchak was taking that position over but if reports are to be believed Munchak is leaving one of the best O-lines in football for the same job in Denver.

UPDATE: The Steelers have announced that they have promoted assistant offensive line coach Shaun Sarrett to replace Munchak.
