NEW YORK, NY (93.7 The Fan) - The NBA has placed the 2019-2020 season on a hiatus.

After the Utah Jazz-Oklahoma Thunder game was postponed earlier on Wednesday night, center Rudy Gobert was taken to be tested for the coronavirus.

Gobert tested positive for COVID-19.

Gobert was not in Chesapeake Energy Arena, but the game was called just before tipoff.

The NBA has said that games are suspended “until further notice” and that they will use the hiatus to “determine steps for moving forward in regard to the coronavirus pandemic.”
