PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Tuesday evening that they have awarded free agent cornerback Jhavonte Dean off waivers.

To make room for Dean, the Steelers waived/injured cornerback Brian Allen.
Dean, who was signed as an undrafted free agent in May out of Miami, played for the Cleveland Browns before being claimed by Pittsburgh.
