PITTSBURGH (93.7 The FAN) - Having not played since week 11 against the Cleveland Browns when he left the game early after aggravating his shoulder injury, Steelers running back James Conner joined The PM Team with Andrew Fillipponi and Chris Mueller to talk about when he could see the field again.
From last week when we talked to how the shoulder feels now, Conner said "it's getting better, but like I said, it's just a battle with time."
Speaking of last week, James had mentioned that surgery was on the table depending on how the shoulder responded to rehab and was asked if that's still an option.
"If it was unstable and I went out there...and the joint kept moving around, then I would need surgery. I'm not going to do that. I'm not going to come back until I'm sure I won't need surgery on my shoulder."
When Fillipponi asked Conner if we shouldn't rule him out for the rest of the year Conner resonded saying only "that's your words."
