PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Jake Guentzel has been on fire lately and the NHL recognized the Penguins forward as the league's third Star of the Week ending January 13.
The recently re-signed Guentzel leads the NHL with seven goals so far in the 2019 calendar year.
Guentzel's hat trick on Friday, (his second of the season) helped propel the Pens past Anaheim 7-4. The next night, he scored the Penguins only 2 goals in a 5-2 loss to Los Angeles.

The Penguins next play the Sharks Tuesday night at 10 p.m. in San Jose.
