
(93.7 The Fan) - According to reports, former Pirates catcher Francisco Cervelli has signed a one year deal with the Miami Marlins.
MLB Network insider Joel Sherman says Cervelli will get $2 million in the deal.
The 33-year-old was traded from Pittsburgh to Atlanta during last season and batted .213 in 2019.
Cervelli has a lifetime average of .269 over 12 years in the majors.
Cervelli has been plagued by Concussions over the past few seasons.
