PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - The Pittsburgh Pirates announced Thursday that they signed outfielder Guillermo Heredia to a one-year contract.
To make room for Heredia on the 40-man roster, Pablo Reyes has been designated for assignment.

January 9, 2020 Heredia was non-tendered by the Tampa Bay Rays last month, which made him a free agent.
The soon to be 29-year-old Heredia will be entering his fifth season in the majors.
He played his first three seasons in Seattle and last year with Tampa.
He has a lifetime batting average of .240 and batted .225 with five home runs with the Rays last season, playing in 89 games.
