(93.7 The Fan) - Oakland Athletics bench coach Ryan Christenson will reportedly be interviewed for the Pirates’ manager position.
Susan Slusser of The San Francisco Chronicle reports that league sources tell her the interview will take place next week.
The 45-year-old Christenson played six seasons in the majors, four of them with the A’s in the late 90s into the early 2000s.
He was a .222 hitter in 452 games in his career.
The Pirates fired manager Clint Hurdle before the last game of the 2019 season. The team finished the year 69-93 and was last place in the National League Central Division.
