SARVER, PA (93.7 The Fan) - Aaron Reutzel picked up his second consecutive All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Car victory Friday night at Lernerville Speedway.
Gerard McIntyre and Paul McMahan led the field to the green flag and the two battled out front unti the first yellow flag came out on lap 4 when Clay Riney did a 360-spin.
Reutzel and Cale Conley traded slide jobs for the third position as McIntyre tried but could not pull away from McMahan out front.
The caution flag flew again on lap 7 for Dan Kuriger and Reutzel wasted no time on the subsequent restart. Reutzel rocketed into the lead followed by McMahan and Conley as McIntyre fell back to fourth spot.
Conley moved into the second spot by lap 13 after battling with McMahan and set his sights on Reutzel, who was encountering heavy traffic.
Reutzel worked his way through the traffic and built a 2.5-second lead while Conley and McMahan traded places for the second spot.
Disaster struck for Conley with 2-laps left to go when he suffered a flat rear tire while running third.
Reutzel survived the final restart to take the checkered flag, his third victory in his past four ASCoC events. McMahan finished second and Greg Wilson took third to round out the podium.
