Pittsburgh (93.7 The Fan) - It's anyone's guess when the Penguins will play their next game, but it seems a safe bet that winger Dominik Simon won't be available.
The Penguins announced Thursday that Simon underwent surgery April 29 to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder. He is expected to be sidelined for six to seven months.
The surgery was performed by team physican, Dr. Dharmesh Vyas, at UPMC Montefiore.
Simon was injured in the Penguins February 29 game at San Jose. He missed the next five games up to the halt in play. For the season, Simon had seven goals and 22 points in 64 games.
