PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - The Steelers quarterback, Mason Rudolph, has been placed on the Injured Reserve list.

The IR designation ends Rudolph's season.

While there is only one game left in the season, the designation would've ended Rudolph's year regardless of the number of games left.

In the corresponding move, center J.C. Hassenauer has been upgraded to the roster.

Rudolph had suffered a shoulder injury in Week 16's game against the Jets, and it was enough for the Steelers to shut him down for the last game so that he can begin his recovery.
The final game will be delegated into Devlin Hodges' hands as the Steelers fight for a wildcard playoff berth.
