West Virginia Football Player Tests Positive For COVID-19

MORGANTOWN, Wv. (93.7 The Fan) - West Virginia University has confirmed a Mountaineer football student-athlete has tested positive for COVID-19 and will go into a 14 day self-isolation.

Contact tracing was conducted an additional football players who have been exposed and will also go into self-isolation.

Voluntary workouts began on Monday for football players who have tested negative for coronavirus.

“The department announced safety protocols for that return on May 29, and they include the current CDC guidelines for containing and stopping the spread of COVID-19,” the university said in a release.
