PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - When Pirates catching hopeful Steven Baron stumbled over buckets and through chairs down the Twins dugout steps to catch - and hold onto - Mitch Garver's foul pop-up it brought oohs and ahhs and applause from fans, teammates and adversaries alike, including this superlative from his appreciative pitcher, Mitch Keller.
"The greatest catch I've ever seen," Keller exclaimed. Of course, Keller is only 22 years old so his experience is limited but Clint Hurdle - who has been in professional baseball for 44 years - didn't really disagree. "That's a great catch I've seen a catcher make," Hurdle said, "And in a spring training game!"
