PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Penguins forward Zach Aston-Reese has signed a two-year deal that will keep him in Pittsburgh through at least the 2020-21 season.
The restricted free agent will make around $1 million a year.
“Zach is a responsible player who plays a solid two-way game,” said general manager Jim Rutherford. “He has a heavy style of play that is especially effective on the forecheck and penalty kill.”
The 24-year-old Aston-Reese only played 43 games last season due to a broken hand and had 8 goals and 9 assists.
The 6 foot, 204 pound Aston-Reese debuted for the Pens at the end of the 2018 season playing 16 games that season with 4 goals and 2 assists.
