The Joey Porter Jr. saga continues with the cornerback being ruled OUT for Thursday night’s game in Cleveland.
On the Steelers official practice reporter, Porter Jr. showed up a “limited” Wednesday with a back issue, despite being listed as “full” Monday and Tuesday.
Porter has missed the first three games of the season, listed as a back injury. But Porter Jr. has been involved in a well-known contract dispute.
When he wasn’t listed with a back injury, Porter Jr. was listed in the practice report as conditioning for the season after not full participating in training camp.
Running back Ricco Dowdle will be out as well with a toe injury.
Cornerback Jalen Ramsey is questionable with a wrist and cornerback Brandin Echols is questionable with a concussion.
Reacting to the breaking Porter Jr. news, 93.7 The Fan’s Chris Mueller believes this means a trade will be forthcoming to deal the cornerback.
“He is not ever going to play a game again for the Steelers, I think this is a prelude to a trade,” said Mueller.
