Two hard-to-recycle collection events occurring in July


PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) – The Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) will host two hard-to-recycle collection events in Allegheny County in July.

The event schedule is:

Quaker Valley High School, Leetsdale
Saturday, July 10 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

La Roche University, McCandless
Saturday, July 31 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The following items will be accepted without a fee: cell/home phones, computer towers, keyboards, laptops, mice, microwave owns, video game consoles, DVD players, glass bottoms, jugs, jars, expanded polystyrene packaging material.

For a small fee, residents can recycle: TVs, computer monitors, printers, fluorescent tubes, small Freon appliances, tires (with and without rim).
