Local pizza shop ordered closed with 'imminent health hazard'

Thursday headline

Pittsburgh's Headlines: October 29, 2026

A pizza shop in Southwestern PA has been ruled “out of compliance” and was ordered closed after an inspection by state officials this week.

The Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Food Safety says the Domino’s Pizza on Brodhead Road in Aliquippa was hit with eight, one an “imminent health hazard” after an inspection on Tuesday. The inspection reportedly came after a complaint.

The inspection shows that over 45 food items like cheese, sausage, chicken sauce, pasta and more were beyond the use by date and needed to be thrown away.

The inspector saw an employee removing old dates and trying to put new dates on the foods but they were caught and the items were thrown away.

The facility is also not producing enough hot water for cleaning with a water temperature of 68 recorded. Water needs to be no less than 110 degrees.

“The owner and manager were aware of the hot water heater not working on Saturday 10-24-2026 but continued operations,” the inspection says.

A follow-up is scheduled for 10 days from October 27, according to the inspection.

A couple of calls to Domino's went unanswered Thursday morning.
