Archie Manning, the grandson of Texas quarterback Arch Manning says the 21-year-old plans to stay in college and will not enter the 2026 NFL Draft.

Archie Manning says his grandson is staying at Texas

“Arch isn’t going to do that,” the elder Manning said while talking to Texas Monthly about the possibility of his grandson entering the draft. “He’ll be at Texas.”

Arch has only started two college games and will be the Longhorns starting QB going into this season, but he’s already projected by many to be the first quarterback off the draft board, when he does make the leap to the NFL.

And, that’s even in a stacked 2026 QB class.

The 2026 NFL Draft will be in Pittsburgh and could be the perfect setting for the team selecting its next franchise quarterback.

But, if the Steelers, and any other team, are eyeing Manning, it sounds like they’ll have to wait a little while longer.

Fan Morning Show co-host Adam Crowley says it would be best for the Steelers if Manning enters the 2026 draft.

Even though Manning is likely to go first overall, making it very difficult for the Steelers to draft him, that would be one more quality quarterback available next year.

“All the better are the chances of one falling to the Steelers,” said Crowley.
