Penguins defenseman Kris Letang turned heads at practice on Wednesday, but it wasn't his play on the ice.
Letang took the ice with a new look, shaving a majority of his facial hair, leaving only a mustache.
The move caught the attention of people on social media.
Why the change? We're not sure but fellow blue liner Mike Matheson said after practice, "I hope it wasn't because he thought it looked good."
The team also appears to have brought back their famous "Mustache Boy" competition.
Players go one-on-one with the goalie and the last remaining player who hasn't scored is dubbed "Mustache Boy" for the next month.
The mustache pair have been a big part of the Penguins recent success.
And after Wednesday's competition, it will be Letang's defensive partner Brian Dumoulin, who failed to score.
A mustachioed Bryan Rust seemed pretty excited after he scored, ensuring he wouldn't have to go a second month with facial hair.
