Man arrested after punching out Lightning fan at Madison Square Garden

The victim was reportedly knocked unconscious

A Rangers fan who knocked a Lightning fan unconscious after a sucker punch inside Madison Square Garden Thursday evening during a Stanley Cup Playoff game has been arrested.

According to the New York Post, 29-year-old James Anastasio punched a 37-year-old male in the halls of MSG. The incident has since gone viral on social media.

After being punched, the Lightning fan fell to the floor and appeared unconscious.

The victim, according to report, refused medical attention. No word on his condition.

The suspect fled the scene with people in Rangers jerseys calling for security.

Another set of fans in Rangers jerseys can be seen coming to the aid of the victim.

Anastasio is charged with two counts of assault, two counts of disorderly conduct and two counts of harassment.

The Lightning won the game 3-1 and have a 3-2 lead over the Rangers in the Eastern Conference Final.
