Myles Garrett requests a trade from Browns, wants to win a Super Bowl

Cleveland Browns superstar defensive end Myles Garrett has requested a trade.

Garrett posted a statement on social media Monday morning saying that his “ultimate goal” is to win a Super Bowl.

He essentially is saying he isn’t going to be able to do that with the Browns and wants to be dealt.

“I have requested to be traded from the Cleveland Browns,” Garrett wrote to end the statement.

It’s another blow to the Browns organization, still reeling from a disastrous trade for quarterback Deshawn Watson.

Garrett won the Defensive Player of the Award last year, is a six-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro.

He has 102.5 career sacks and is one of the best defensive players in the NFL.

The loss of Garrett is a big hit for the Browns, but it also gives them an opportunity to try and recover from the Watson trade.

FOX Sports NFL Insider Jordan Schultz says a “high-level NFL executive” told him he’d give up two first-round picks “and more” for Garrett.

But would you rather be in the Browns situation or the Steelers’?

Joe Starkey says the Steelers, who should consider trading T.J. Watt, will continue to bang their head against the wall, while Cleveland has an opportunity to rebuild.

Even with the opportunity the Browns have in front of them, Bob Pompeani and producer Austin Bechtold said on The Pomp and Joe Show, they would still prefer to be in the Steelers situation over the Browns.

Pomp says it needs to be a large haul for the Browns to get out of the hole they’ve dug themselves into.

Imagine T.J.
Watt coming out and requesting a trade that he wants to be moved because he doesn’t believe in the organization.

The bottom line is the Watson trade continues to haunt the Browns and the latest casualty is Myles Garrett.
