Crowley and Dickerson have an interesting bet for the Backyard Brawl

Someone is going to look pretty foolish next week

The 2022 Pitt Football schedule kicks off with a bang this Thursday at Acrisure Stadium with the return of the “Backyard Brawl” against West Virginia.

Skip to 33:00 to hear the details of the bet

The longtime rivalry is something that’s affecting The Fan Morning Show.

In one corner you have Dorin Dickerson, Pitt alumni and All-American tight end.

On the other, Adam Crowley…who went to West Virginia and is not an All-American…but he is an American, so he has that.

Crowley is a huge Mountaineers fan and wears something to work WVU-related almost every day.

After a couple weeks of verbal barbs being thrown here and there with no physical altercations (if there were, Crowley would, at best, be in a hospital bed), the two are making an official bet.

No point spread, no line, a straight up win or lose bet.

If West Virginia wins:

Dorin must dress up like a Mountaineer, coonskin cap and all.

If Pitt wins:

Adam has to dress up like a Pitt cheerleader, a female cheerleader, with a wig and makeup.

In addition, Adam will sing “Sweet Caroline” and it’s assumed Dorin will have to sing “Country Roads.”

“Oh if we’re doing it, we’re doing it,” said Crowley.

If Crowley loses, they guys also want him to dress up at home, so his stop at a convenience story at 3 a.m. is a little more interesting.

The bet will be paid either Wednesday or Thursday next week.

Many oddsmakers have Pitt as a 7.5 favorite to win, with Colin Dunlap and Chris Mack both predicting a multiple touchdown win for the Panthers.

But as Crowley points out, Pitt did lose to Western Michigan last year, so he has a chance, a small one, but a chance none the less.

Kickoff is 7 p.m. and can be heard, along with every Pitt game, on 93.7 The Fan!
