Current Rutgers men’s basketball assistant and former Pitt star Bradin Knight could reportedly earn his first head coaching job.

Basketball insider Adam Zagoria reports that Saint Peter’s is “targeting” Knight to replace departing coach Shaheen Holloway.
Holloway led the 15-seed to the Elite Eight with wins over Kentucky, Murray State and Purdue. It’s the deepest a 15th seed has ever made it in the tournament.
Holloway leaves for Seton Hall leaving the Peacocks without a head coach.
With the Cinderella story still fresh on the nation’s mind, this would be a great opportunity for Knight.
Knight was an assistant at Pitt from 2008-1016 and was hired by Rutgers as an assistant soon after.
As a player, Knight was a leader for the Panthers during his career from 1999-2003. He helped Pitt win the Big East championship in 2003 and appeared in two Sweet Sixteen games.
An All-American and two-time All-Big East honoree, Knight had 1,440 career points, 785 assists and 492 rebounds.
Pitt retired Knight’s number 20 jersey in 2009 and he was inducted into the Pitt Athletics Hall of Fame in 2020.
