Pitt makes 3 offensive coaching hires, 2 with local ties

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Pitt football officially announced the hiring of three new offensive assistants. One of the coaches comes with new offensive coordinator Kade Bell from Western Carolina, another worked with the Steelers in 2023 and the third is a former Robert Morris assistant.

Jeremy Daveau-offensive line coach
·     16 years as a college assistant (Western Carolina, Southern Mississippi, Missouri State, USF, Valdosta State, Florida, Southwest Minnesota State)
·     Played offensive tackle at Louisville in the early 2000s
·     Originally from Hilton Head, he played pro ball in NFL Europe and the Arena Football League

·     "Jeremy brings to Pitt a great background as both a coach and player. His track record of developing individual talent and overall units is really impressive," Narduzzi said in a statement released by the University. "I love his energy and I know our players are really going to enjoy being coached by him. Certainly his familiarity with Kade Bell's system while at Western Carolina will be a huge asset as well. Lindsey Lamar-running backs coach
·     4 years at Howard University, offensive coordinator in 2023, 4 years at USF
·     Spent time with the Steelers and Green Bay Packers during this offseason as part of a pair of NFL coaching fellowships
·     4 year letterman at USF from 2009-12, Big East Special Teams Player of the Year in 2010 averaging 26.6 yards per kick return and two touchdowns
·     Played in the CFL in 2013 and his very first play was a 104-yard kickoff return TD

Jacob Bronowski-special teams coach
·     Special teams were ranked 1st nationally in ESPN's efficiency ratings in 2023 at Miami of Ohio where his kicker, Graham Nicholson, won the Lou Groza Award while his punter was a Ray Guy Award semifinalist
·     Previously worked at the University of Tennessee, USF, Robert Morris, New Mexico-where he attended college as a QB and student assistant
