The Pirates have made some roster moves ahead of Friday’s opening game against the Giants.
Outfielder Jake Mangum has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain.
That is retroactive to May 6.
Infielder/outfielder Nick Yorke has been recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis to take Mangum’s spot.
Mangum has appeared in 30 games for the Pirates this season. He’s batting .260 with 19 hits, three RBI and five stolen bases with an OPS of .621.
Yorke, optioned to Triple-A in the beginning of May was batting .221 with 15 hits, 6 RBI and an. OPS of .617 in 23 games with the Pirates.
