PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) It's officially official: Sidney Crosby is back in the lineup.
It was announced Saturday by head coach Mike Sullivan that captain Crosby will return to the lineup for the first time in the 2021-22 season.
On Friday, Sullivan said that Crosby will be a game time decision for Saturday against the New Jersey Devils.
With Crosby returning to the lineup, the expectations immediately rise within the team, just in time as a pair of losses began to weigh the Penguins down.
Not only is Crosby back, but so is Jeff Carter who has cleared COVID protocol and will return to the lineup.
Carter has played in four games this season picked up four points.
A fully healthy Penguins roster may still be a while away as the progress on Evgeni Malkin has been slower, but soon enough the team will return to form.
