For the second time this season, Sidney Crosby has caught Joe Sakic.

It was two weeks ago Crosby passed him for 9th place in all-time points. In Saturday's game vs the Kraken, Crosby scored a goal and passed Sakic for 10th place in all-time road points.

Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin are the only active NHL players in the top 25 for this stat.

There are four Pittsburgh Penguins in the top 10 for this category. Crosby with 742 points, Jaromir Jagr sits in third place, Ron Francis in fifth and Mario Lemiuex in seventh. Crosby is in striking distance of catching Lemiuex's 784 road points. He is 15 points behind Ovechkin for 9th place.

Rumors have been circulating from NHL insiders about Sidney Crosby as a possible trade target. Those rumors have been shot down by Chris Johnston from The Athletic and TSN. He tweeted this Friday night.

"Unless something changes -- and at this point I have absolutely ZERO reason to believe it will -- Sidney Crosby isn't being traded out of Pittsburgh. He's an untouchable as far as the #pens are concerned, plus he's got a no-movement clause and no desire to be dealt."

Crosby's goal was the only one for the Pens in a 4-1 loss to Seattle. The Kraken took advantage of a 5 on 3 power play to score the go ahead goal from Vince Dunn. Seattle scored three one-timer goals and capitalized on the 9 giveaways by Pittsburgh.

"I thought for the majority of the game we carried the play," said Mike Sullivan. "You can't hand teams easy offense like we did. When you look at the goals they scored, it's just too easy. Obviously it makes it hard to win when you do that."

Kris Letang got the assist on Crosby's goal. Those two sit only behind Wayne Gretzky and Paul Coffee for factoring the most goals together as a forward-defenseman duo in NHL history with 307, after passing Bobby Orr and Phil Esposito. They are 43 behind the leaders.

Evgeni Malkin left the game with a lower body injury after colliding with Kraken forward Chandler Stephenson and bent his knee awkwardly. Sullivan had no update on his availability moving forward after the game.
