PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Part of the Jake Guentzel trade with Carolina, the Pens signed forward Ville Koivunen to an eight-year contract at $4 million a season.
The 23-year-old had seven points in 39 games with the Pens last year. In the AHL with Wilkes Barre/Scranton, the left-handed shot had 13 goals and 28 assists (led team) in 34 games.
The 6’, 184-pounder was on the 2025 AHL All-Rookie Team after playing his first three pro seasons in the top Finnish League.
