PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – A career resurgence last season after being invited Pens camp led to a one-year contract, Frederick Gaudreau signs with Pens Stanley Cup champion Bill Guerin and the Minnesota Wild for two-years, $2.4 million.
The 6' forward wasn't called up until mid-March this season, ending up with a pair of goals and eight assists in 19 games. Gaudreau had a goal in the playoffs along with a pair of assists. He also was a team-best plus three in the post-season in his one year with the Pens.
The 28-year-old Gaudreau out of the NHL, playing in the minors during the 2019-20 season before his time in Pittsburgh. Gaudreau joins another former Penguin with the Wild, defenseman Alex Goligoski signed a one-year deal.
